They finally stumble upon the riches, but, after Bonnard feuds with Dita, he angrily takes the jewels and supplies, and leaves his partners to die in the desert.

This time the Allies send him to be imprisoned in Canada, but he steadfastly insists that no cell will hold him.

But when one of Gonzalez's customers is found dead, Gold is sent back to Shanghai to complete the investigation.
