Eventually falling unconscious, he wakes up to find the sergeant dead in his cell with no memory of what happened - adding to the distress is the fact that the prisoner in the cell next door is having an asthma attack and screaming for his father. While Alphy is more confident of Leonard's innocence, Geordie is less afraid to stare at the truth however hard to swallow - what ensues is a locked-door mystery that could clear their friend's name or seal his fate forever. It's not looking good - there are few logical conclusions, Alphy and Geordie are slowly having to rule out other possibilities and, to cap it all, Leonard doesn't seem to want help.
