After a bank robbery goes wrong, outlaw Billy Two Hats (Desi Arnaz Jr.) is captured by Sheriff Gifford (Jack Warden). Billy's partner, Arch Deans (Gregory Peck), rescues him, but during the escape Deans gets shot in the leg. The wound leaves Deans unable to ride a horse, but Billy refuses to leave him behind. Instead, he builds a horse-drawn cot for him, and they continue together. The apparatus slows them down, however, making them even more vulnerable to capture from the pursuing sheriff.

An astronomer with a love of leopard skin returns to his hometown and immediately runs into trouble with a local gang. When his brother is subsequently murdered, he sets about to break up the gang by exploiting their individual weak points.

Bat comes to the rescue of two Dutchmen caught up in a sandstorm while hunting for a Spanish galleon lost in the Colorado River; two outlaws lie in wait to steal the galleon's treasure.

Illiterate fur trapper Joe Bass (Burt Lancaster) is coerced by some Kiowa Indians into trading his haul for a well-educated, escaped slave named Joseph Lee (Ossie Davis). Bass seeks to track the Indians and recover his treasure, while Joseph wants to travel to Mexico, where slavery is illegal. Their plans are complicated by the arrival of a band of scalphunters, led by Jim Howie (Telly Savalas), who want to kill the Indians, claim the furs and resell the black man.

When rancher Frank Tanner (Jon Cypher) hoodwinks local lawman Bob Valdez (Burt Lancaster) into shooting an innocent man, Valdez is remorseful and tries to take up a collection for the widow. Tanner won't hear of it, however, and punishes Valdez by driving him into the desert with a cross strapped to his back. Valdez is freed by one of Tanner's henchmen (Richard Jordan) and, after convalescing, begins waging a one-man war against Tanner, picking off his men with his trusty Sharps rifle.

During the 1840s, a wagon train is headed west with Davy Crockett (George Montgomery), a young man who shares a name with his famous frontiersman uncle, acting as one of the train's Native American scouts. After the passengers narrowly survive a series of ambushes from Native Americans, they come to believe that a spy is on board, helping plot the attacks. Suspicions fall on Davy's innocent partner, Red Hawk (Philip Reed), so he and Davy set out to find the real culprit.

Five criminals are recruited by the Confederacy for a dangerous mission in exchange for a pardon. The men -- John Morgan Candy (Bob Campbell), William Parcel Candy (Jonathan Haze), J.C. Haggard (Paul Birch), Hale Clinton (Touch Connors) and Govern Sturges (John Lund) -- are to travel to Kansas to intercept a stagecoach carrying Confederate traitor and spy Stephen Jethro (Jack Ingram) and gold. However, when they realize that a woman (Dorothy Malone) is also present, it complicates their mission.

Henchmen in a helicopter chase a Utah prospector (Richard Basehart) seeking uranium with a professor and his daughter (Phyllis Kirk).

Sheriff Wade Addams (Hugh O'Brian) is engaged to Linda Gibson (Nancy Gates) and searching for an elusive killer, Tris Hatten (Raymond Burr). Linda's little brother, Clay (Donald MacDonald), happens upon Tris' hideout one day, and immediately notifies Wade, who arrests the killer. Despite efforts to keep Clay's involvement a secret, the details come out and Clay's life is threatened. Wade must protect Clay while sidestepping attempts on his own life by Tris' henchmen.

When her marshal husband is murdered, Rose Hood (Beverly Garland) slides on his holster and takes his dangerous duty. This riles local brothel madam Erica Page (Allison Hayes), so she employs Cane Miro (John Ireland), a hired gun with an axe to grind, to bring an end to Hood and her brand of justice. When Miro meets Hood, though, he is struck by her strength and beauty. Still, the passion that begins to burn between them will not prevent their inevitable showdown.

When Bat replaces the leader of buffalo hunters as they roam Indian territory, the former leader retaliates by framing Bat for the murder of a Sioux.

Bat resorts to dueling pistols to expose the cowardice of a Confederate deserter.
